About Course

This comprehensive 3-day introductory course is designed for healthcare professionals from various disciplines, including both clinical and community settings, with an interest in scoliosis and kyphosis. Participants will gain foundational knowledge on the latest research and clinical understanding of these conditions, including their various types, etiology, 3-dimensional nature, key progression risks and prognostic factors.

The course will delve into scoliosis and kyphosis management, introducing participants to interdisciplinary guidelines and treatment approaches. A historical overview will explore the evolution of physical therapy in this field, from early treatments to the Schroth Method, the development of Schroth-based schools, and the current PSSE-Schroth Method as developed by Nikos Karavidas PT.

Participants will also learn essential clinical tools and techniques, including key tests, measures, and standardized assessment tools, with a focus on comprehensive radiographic measurements. The course will offer equal high-quality education, whether attended online or in-person, and is open to all professional and community healthcare providers.

Completion of this course is a prerequisite for physical therapists wishing to advance to the Level 1 PSSE-Schroth Course.
